Refilling Inkjet Cartridges: Part 1

Refilling inkjet cartridges doesn’t take a PhD to figure out, but it does require a little practice to get it right. If you’ve never used an inkjet printer refill before, don’t worry, if you follow the manual that came with the printer refill kit, you’ll have no problems.

Printer refill kits may differ depending on what inkjet cartridge you use. The processes are generally the same so you might find that the quick guide below enough to successfully refill your cartridge:

Before you start you’ll need to prepare your workspace with newspaper. Put on the latex gloves provided and attach the needle onto the syringe. Carefully extract ink from the refill bottle.

Holding the empty cartridge in the other hand, inject ink into the opening until you see ink or air bubbles rise just before the opening. Make sure that there isn’t any ink leaking and mop up any mess with kitchen towel. You’re done!
