Answers to Problems Regarding Refilling Inkjet Cartridges

If your cartridge is leaking when refilling inkjet cartridges then it may be damaged. Check for cracks and dispose of it if this is the case. Avoid using printer refill kits on a damaged cartridge.

There are other possibilities that may cause a leaky cartridge. Check to ensure that you have sealed the cartridge properly when you are done refilling. Be careful not to overfill your cartridge as this will cause overflowing of ink. If your color chambers overflow it may cause unintended mixing, resulting in undesired color printing.

If this is the case, try flushing out the ink head by printing out heavy colors. Once the printer cartridge runs true colors you can carefully refill the cartridge again.

Inkjet printer refills are designed to be used with clean undamaged cartridges for best results. For more information read the manual that comes with your printer refill kit.

There’s little point refilling inkjet cartridges when the cartridge itself is damaged. Cracks will inevitably lead to leakage causing a lot of mess and potential damage to your printer.
